Ivory Coast Mask

MAS133

New product

Traditional Grebo mask.
The Grebo masks can be recognised by their straight and elongated nose, placed between one or several pairs of eyes, here six.
The Grebo are part of the Krou group living in the south west of Ivory Coast, often in conflict with neighbouring ethnic groups (Guéré, Wé, Bété or Dan). Wars, looting and devastation of all kinds were their daily domain and their crafts were very much influenced by all these exactions.
