Reproduction of a Gustavian chest of drawers (Swedish, 18th century) comprising three drawers of different depths, ornamented with ribbon-style handles and locks from the time of Louis XVI. By its form and unusual hand-grips at each end, this piece reminds us that such chests developed from simple trunks. The newspaper lining of each drawer gives a note of authenticity.
