Elegant 18th century black marble lidded box. This precious object was very much appreciated during the Age of Enlightenment and used by the Nobility as a miniature Curios Cabinet in which they collected jewellery and small unusual treasures. Handmade and hand turned by our craftsmen, it “old marble” patina gives its authenticity.
